Nothing Last forever…neither did Marilyn

How is that working out for you so far Marilyn? Bad advice to other women.  It’s hard to believe that Marilyn Monroe was someone anyone took advice from. Oh…I must admit in my younger, drinking, rebellious days, I had pictures and quotes by Marilyn decorating my small one bedroom apartment. She made me feel good about my life and my lifestyle.

She made me bearable to me. Little did I know at the time how far Marilyn and I were both off track. Drinking and partying and living for me. That quote is seriously so selfish and self centered, never considering others or their feelings.

I really wish Marilyn would have known what I know now. She actually might still be alive. How could her life have been different if she had not actually have done everything “SHE” wanted to do? What if she had helped others? What if she knew Jesus? What if she knew how much Jesus loved her? Honestly it makes me sad to think about the fact that she didn’t. I know that God had a good plan for her… her and AnnaNicole and Amy Winehouse …and so many more.

“Marilyn could have been like Mr. President you are married and I love Jesus! Haha.. Let’s save the world!”

I stopped all my selfish life stealing addictions and came to someone who really loved me… stopped going from man to man to try to feel loved. I met the one who designed me for greatness and a good future. Today I want to encourage any woman reading this to choose Jesus! He is the way, the truth and the life! And the scripture goes on to say…No one comes to the Father except through me.  John 14:6

My heart breaks for those still lost in addiction! My prayers cry out for Jesus to save them. I can’t tell you how bad I wanted to meet AnnaNicole…or how many times I prayed for her.

God is able! …in other words: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Eph 3:20

Stop falling for words that just sound good and find out the truth!

    Thank you. I stumbled across your blog while I was doing research related to a Facebook post wherein a FB friend posted Marilyn’s quote as something worth considering. (BTW, Marilyn’s comment reminds me of Frank Sinatra’s rendition of I Did It My Way. Both Marilyn and Frank could have learned something from Solomon’s Ecclesiastes). I directed followers of my FB friend’s post to your blog here. You did a great job responding to her silly (but pervasive) point of view.
